In furthering the exploration of the possibilities of the gestural, single line to articulate the human form, these works marry in shape and texture. These pieces are inspired by our own strength and fragility - our soft and hard edges. The juxtaposition of marble with paper is a direct nod to humanity with all its beauty and flaws. Aesthetic influences taken loosely from modernist male artists like Arp, Corbusier and Picasso through the lens of Elissa’s feminine eye.
